OLYMPIC ART 2028

Art. Culture. Pride. Human Rights.

A creative journey toward Los Angeles 2028

The Olympic and Paralympic Games bring people together from around the world through sport, culture, creativity, friendship, and shared human experience.  OUR PRIDE is exploring how artists, poets, filmmakers, writers, performers, cultural organizations, educators, and communities can contribute to that conversation as we look toward Los Angeles 2028.

We are beginning a journey—and we want you to help shape it.

WHAT COULD OLYMPIC ART 2028 BECOME?

We are exploring possibilities that could include:

Art & Exhibitions
Public art, installations, exhibitions, photography, digital art, and other creative work.

Poetry & Literature
Poetry, writing, books, and storytelling connecting creativity with identity, belonging, freedom, and human dignity.

Film & Media
Films, documentaries, music videos, and other forms of visual storytelling.

Global Voices
Creative work from LGBTQIA+ artists and communities in Los Angeles, across the United States, and around the world.

Art & Human Rights
Creative projects exploring equality, dignity, freedom, inclusion, and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

HELP SHAPE OLYMPIC ART 2028

  • Perhaps you are an artist with an idea.

  • Perhaps you are a poet, filmmaker, writer, musician, performer, educator, or cultural organizer.

  • Perhaps you represent an organization that would like to collaborate.

  • Or perhaps you simply have an idea about what Olympic Art 2028 could become.

  • Tell us about it.

  • You don’t need to have a finished project or proposal. At this stage, we’re interested in people, ideas, possibilities, and connections.

HELP BUILD THE TEAM

OUR PRIDE is also beginning to develop an Olympic Arts & Culture Committee: a group of artists, cultural leaders, writers, filmmakers, human-rights advocates, educators, and community partners who can help shape this initiative.

If you’re interested in helping develop the initiative or being considered for the committee, let us know through the form below.

THIS IS THE BEGINNING

Olympic Art 2028 is an invitation to imagine what can happen when art, culture, Pride, human rights, and the Olympic experience come together. Your idea could help shape what comes next.

FLAG50 + Know OUR [human] Rights

Olympic Art 2028 is connected to two larger OUR PRIDE initiatives: FLAG50 and Know OUR [human] Rights (KOHR).

FLAG50 marks the 50th anniversary of the Rainbow Flag in 2028, celebrating its history, meaning, and continuing role as a symbol of Pride, freedom, and belonging. Visit: FLAG50.org

KOHR connects creativity and culture with the 30 Articles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, exploring what it means to know, understand, and stand up for our human rights. Visit: ourpride.org/rights

We welcome artists, creators, organizations, and community members interested in contributing to either—or both—of these areas.
